Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy, born on May 25, 1976, in Douglas, Ireland, is one of those actors who doesn’t need to make noise to shine. With more than two decades in the industry, he has proven that no role is too big for him. His serious style, intense gaze, and ability to fully embody complex characters have made him a key figure in film and television.

His first big break came with 28 Days Later (2002), where he played Jim, an ordinary guy who wakes up in a world devastated by a virus. But it was his collaboration with Christopher Nolan that took him to the next level, especially with his role as Dr. Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow) in The Dark Knight trilogy.

Throughout his career, Murphy has brought to life characters that have left a lasting impression. Some of his most important roles include:

-       Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders (2013-2022)

-       Robert Oppenheimer in Oppenheimer (2023)

-       Dr. Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow in The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012)
